”ITC is one of western Canada’s largest general contractors and uses sophisticated systems to manage the various projects throughout B.C. and Alberta. Every time I've had occasion to call the Shaw Business NOC (Network Operations Centre), I'm greeted by techs immediately and who are willing and capable of solving any issues I have.
In 2010, there was a car accident near Kamloops that took out some fiber. The fiber was owned by Shaw, but some of it was leased to another carrier. The other carrier's circuit went down, but our Shaw circuit remained up (probably because of your diverse paths). The other carrier's NOC was unable to give me any status updates, or descriptions of the problems. As soon as I found out where the problem was located, I called the Shaw Business NOC to see if my circuit was in jeopardy in any way. The Shaw Business NOC was helpful and knowledgeable, and was able and willing to give me status updates on the repairs of the fiber, even though my Shaw circuit was working perfectly.
I'd appreciate if you could pass on my words to your NOC and tell them that your customers appreciate the job they do, and please don't change anything. Keep up the good work!
